Holiday in a summer house on Lønstrupvej
This holiday home is ideally located – close to both Løkken, Lønstrup and Nr. Lyngby. Here you get a base right in the middle of three of the West Coast’s most beautiful areas.
Løkken
Løkken is a classic seaside town and one of the most popular holiday destinations in North Jutland. Here you will find wide, white sandy beaches, dunes and a lively town with cafés, restaurants and shops.
In summer you can swim, build sandcastles or enjoy an ice cream on the beach. In autumn and winter, the beach is perfect for long walks in the wind, followed by cosy moments in front of the wood-burning stove. Løkken also offers lots of activities: cycling trips, hiking, water sports and excursions to places like Rubjerg Knude, Lønstrup or Skagen. For families with children there are playgrounds, a swimming pool, miniature town and attractions such as Action House and Fårup Sommerland nearby.
A holiday in Løkken can be adapted to everyone – whether you are looking for family fun, romance, an active holiday or pure relaxation. Here you will find both classic summer houses and modern holiday homes with top comfort!
Lønstrup
Lønstrup is a holiday town full of charm and with a very special atmosphere. The town has its roots as a fishing village, which is still visible on the beach, where the characteristic groynes shape the coastline. Close to the centre you will find cosy summer houses, while the town centre offers a rich life with galleries, ceramic workshops, glass art, jewellery designers, shops, cafés, restaurants and ice cream stalls.
The town’s creative environment is one of the first things you notice. Lønstrup is often called “the town of art”, because you can find unique works here in everything from jewellery and paintings to ceramics and glass.
The town is also ideal for shopping, with clothing shops covering a wide range of styles and prices. When hunger sets in, you can choose between restaurants with sea views or small cosy places in the town centre. Outside the town, fishing boats are still pulled up on the beach – here you may be lucky enough to buy freshly caught fish for your dinner table.
The nature around Lønstrup is raw and breathtaking. The dunes rise steeply, the trees are shaped by the wind, and the North Sea shows its force. Only a few kilometres away is Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse – an iconic place and a clear example of nature’s power. In 2019 the lighthouse was moved further inland to prevent it from falling into the sea.
If you know the area a little better, you will find hidden gems outside the town. For example, you can park in a small forest, follow a path – and suddenly find yourself standing in the sand with an open view of the North Sea.
Nørre Lyngby
Nørre Lyngby is the place where nature truly takes your breath away. Already on the way into the town you see the characteristic wind-shaped trees, a clear sign of the West Coast’s forces. Many summer houses have terraces on several sides, so you can always find shelter and enjoy outdoor life.
The town is known for its steep coastal cliffs and the open views of the sea. The area is popular among paragliders who use the wind and the fantastic view – and it is impressive to experience, whether you try the sport yourself or just watch.
Unlike the livelier holiday towns, Nørre Lyngby is characterised by peace and natural beauty. There is room here for contemplation, but Løkken and Blokhus are close enough that you can easily cycle there on paths or along the beach.
The forces of nature are clearly visible along the coast, where large areas have collapsed into the sea over the years. Inland you will find small forests and meadows with rich wildlife – here you may encounter deer, hares, foxes and a variety of birds.
Rent this lovely holiday home and experience everything from the front row!
