Hawbakken is a lovely, family-friendly holiday destination where you get three holiday homes on the same property, allowing for both social gatherings and private retreats.
The three holiday homes, Høloftet, Kostalden, and Kalvestalden, can accommodate up to 18 guests (15 people + 3 additional guest beds). Hawbakken is ideal for families or groups of friends who want to relax and dine together, while still having the option to retreat to their own holiday home.

Room for Relaxation and Space to Move

Outside at Hawbakken, there is ample space and many cozy corners with tables and benches, along with a fabulous 180-degree panoramic view of the North Sea, Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse, and Lønstrup. As a guest, you also have free access to a range of on-site activities in “Sport & Spas,” with both indoor and outdoor options. Read more about Sport & Spas at the end of the text. All holiday homes are smoke-free, and youth groups or parties are not allowed. Pets must not be on furniture or left alone at home.

The Three Holiday Homes

Kostalden – The Gathering Spot for Meals and Fun.

Step into Kostalden and experience a welcoming atmosphere! The large kitchen-dining area accommodates up to 14 people around the long dining table, and the living room is designed for cozy moments.
(For 15-18 guests, a folding table and chairs can be borrowed so that everyone can dine together.) Modern amenities and stylish furniture add a touch of luxury to your stay, and outside, you can enjoy the sunset or grill on the large, private terrace. From the bedrooms, there’s an enchanting sea view – the perfect oasis on the west coast!

Details of the Holiday Home

Kostalden is designed to accommodate 6 guests in 2 bedrooms with quality beds and thick top mattresses for a good night's sleep. One bedroom with a double bed is on the ground floor, while the other bedroom has a double bed and two single beds located on the first floor, accessible by a steep staircase not suited for those with limited mobility. There is also the option of 1 extra bed in the living room or the ground floor bedroom. There is 1 functional and spacious bathroom.

Kalvestalden – A Cozy Holiday Home

Step into Kalvestalden and feel the welcoming atmosphere! The modern amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen and stylish furniture, are designed for cozy moments, and outside, you can enjoy the sunset or grill from the large, private terrace. From the bedrooms, there is a delightful sea view, and from the living room and kitchen, a tranquil view over fields and trees creates a sheltered spot – the perfect oasis on the west coast. The holiday home is perfect for renting if you seek both peace and quiet as well as plenty of activities close to the beach and holiday town.

Details of Kalvestalden

Kalvestalden at Hawbakken can accommodate 4 people in 2 bedrooms with comfortable double beds, each with thick top mattresses. There is also a bathroom with a shower.

Høloftet – A Lovely Holiday Home on the First Floor

Høloftet is the name of Hawbakken’s charming first-floor holiday apartment, offering cozy sloped ceilings but is equipped with modern comforts. The balcony is the sunniest spot in the area. From here, you can enjoy stunning sunrises and views over fields and Vennebjerg Church. This holiday apartment is perfect for renting if you’re looking for both peace and quiet as well as many activities close to the beach and town.

Høloftet can accommodate 5 guests in 2 bedrooms with a double bed in each and 1 single bed in the living room – all beds are box spring mattresses with thick top mattresses for a good night's sleep after a day full of activities in the area. Additionally, there is an option for 1 extra guest bed in a walkthrough room. For those seeking extra relaxation, the apartment offers a small sauna and a bathtub in the bathroom.

Sport & Spas at Hawbakken

Hawbakken Sport & Spas offers over 15 different activities for everyone, including mini golf, basketball, soccer, volleyball, table tennis, pétanque, air hockey, foosball, street hockey, lawn games, playhouses, and much more. Sport & Spas is free for guests staying at Hawbakken, while external guests can purchase access for 75 DKK per day. Visitors are responsible for maintaining order and respecting the facilities for other guests. Sport & Spas is open from Easter until the end of week 42. Upon request, facilities can be made available outside of the season – call for more information.
